Vom 25. - 27. September 2019 fand im Rahmen des BMWi-Markterschließungsprogrammes eine Leistungsschau der deutschen maritimen Industrie in Athen und Piräus statt. Diese wurde vom Verband für Schiffbau und Meerestechnik e.V. (VSM) beantragt und als Fachpartner erfolgreich begleitet. Den Schwerpunkt bildeten dabei die Themen Schiffbauindustrie und Maritime Wirtschaft.

B2B-Netzwerken als Schlüssel zum Erfolg: Um den Kontakt deutscher Zulieferer und Dienstleister zu Werften und Reedereien zu fördern, organisierte der Verband für Schiffbau und Meerestechnik e.V. (VSM) im Rahmen seiner German Maritime Export Initiative (GeMaX) am 10. September 2019 zum zweiten Mal das Speeddating-Event BUYBLUE. Die Veranstaltung fand im Hotel Empire Riverside in Hamburg statt. Die rund 90 Teilnehmer erwartete ein straff getaktetes Programm: Insgesamt standen rund 480 Einzelgespräche auf der Agenda. Hafnia, member of BW Group, and CSSC have formed a joint venture named Vista Shipping to finance and operate product tankers. A term loan facility of USD 111 million is intended to be used to finance four LR1 newbuildings. A banking consortium consisting of KfW IPEX, Societe Generale and OCBC Singapore participate with 33% each as lenders at the term loan facility and have reached financial close. KfW IPEX acts as Facility Agent, Sinosure and Security Agent.
